Walked in for a quick clean up, gotta look fresh for the weekend. Let me know I do need an appointment, didn't have 1, they squeezed me in, which was awesome. Atmosphere is cool, very nostalgic barber shop. Down to the fridge with drinks, wish they had beers in there...lol...it's all good. If you go make an appointment 1st.

This is my second visit to Pappy's Barber Shop in Poway to see Austin, and I’m just as impressed as the first time. She’s a truly skilled barber with a great eye for styling hair to enhance your look. The shop itself has cool decor and even offers free sodas to customers. This is definitely my new go-to barber shop!

Pappy's barbershop has always been my go to spot for a haircut. Not only do they provide quality service, they'll keep you satisfied time and time again. Any haircut you get from the exceptional barbers out there in either the college area or poway is of top quality and you will never go wrong with them. Even when I have had no appointment, I'll be seen by a barber shortly after and the cut is always amazing. Thanks Pappy's keep doing what you do best!

If you’re looking for a barber who’s cool, wildly talented, and has the sweetest soul ever — you just found her. Austin has been cutting our family’s hair for 5+ years, and we couldn’t imagine going to anyone else. From the moment you sit in her chair, you’re not just getting a haircut — you’re getting an experience. She gave my daughter her very first big cut and color, and made her feel confident, seen, and like an absolute rockstar. She treated it like a rite of passage, and it meant the world to us. My son has special needs and struggles with sensory issues — haircuts used to be a battle. But Austin has this calming, patient, joyful energy that made him feel so safe and comfortable. Now? He walks in proud, asks for designs shaved into his fade, and walks out glowing. That’s all her magic. And my husband — well, let’s just say she’s the only person who can get him to actually like getting a haircut. He never knows what style he wants, but Austin walks him through options, hypes him up, and somehow nails it every time. He leaves looking sharp and feeling even better. Austin is the real deal. She's a pro with years of experience, serious skill, and a heart that shines through her work. She listens, she cares, and she delivers — every. single. time. Austin is such an amazing barber! She recently cut both my son’s and my husband’s hair, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. She has such an eye for detail—every line, fade, and style came out clean and professional. What really impressed me, though, was how much time she took to connect with us. She asked thoughtful questions, listened closely to what we wanted, and made sure she understood exactly what kind of look we were going for before even picking up the clippers. It’s rare to find someone who is both incredibly skilled and genuinely cares about their clients, but Austin does exactly that. She goes above and beyond to make sure every cut is perfect and every client feels valued. We’re so glad we found her, and she will definitely be our go-to barber from now on!
